Oslo City Steinerskole visit

Each year, we host a visit by the current Class 12 music specialists from the Oslo City Steinerskole

The students' concert of covers, classics, folk-songs and current favourites is an inspirational highlight of our summer term and always much anticipated by both students and staff alike. The event is open to everyone from Classes 6 upwards and this year, the hour-long programme opened with a thrilling performance of The Rolling Stones' Satisfaction, before visiting Susanne Sundfor's haunting Blomi.  The Doobie Brothers' exhilarating Long Train Running, was followed by GURLS funky Fruity Looty and Radiohead's Weird Fishes before finishing with Barry Manilow's Copacabana and Piazzolla's Libertango with eurythmy! This incredible programme was greeted by a standing-ovation by our pupils and students. Wow.

After the performance, members of Classes 10, 11 and 12 congregated with our Norwegian friends on the stage before showing them around Michael Hall. Lunch was served in the canteen and our new friends departed for Gatwick having spent the week in and around London taking in the sights and performing their music at St Pauls and Greenwich Waldorf schools.

Thank you Oslo City Steinerskole! We look forward to greeting next year's Class 12, but if you would like to know more about the school (Classes 11 - 13 only), visit
