We’re delighted to share that our Board of Trustees has recently welcomed several new members, bringing renewed energy and diverse skills to support Michael Hall’s ongoing development. A very warm welcome to Hannah Carter, Rebecca Dahele, Nick Delfas, Stephen King, Roger Lyon and Christopher Marcus.

We would also like to express our sincere thanks to James Angus and John Durrant for their dedicated service as they step down from the Board.

Alongside our new members, we’re grateful to our continuing trustees – James Harrison, Jessika Hulbert, Daniel Jones, Tali Michaels, Tal Souleiman and Evgeny Tilezhinsky – who bring invaluable continuity, experience and commitment as we work together to guide Michael Hall into the future.

Music News

Kidbrooke Park Music Festival 1st & 2nd November 2025

We are thrilled that the incredible accordionist Sofia Ros will give a concert in the KP Music Festival on 1st November, at 11am in the Long Room. She has recently won the Scottish equivalent of BBC Young Musician of the Year and is fast developing an international career. Spanish born, her programme will have a southern flavour to warm our hearts on a cold November day.

The concert is an hour long with coffee and pastries served from 10.30. Don't miss!

All information about our wonderful festival can be found on www.kpmusicfestival.org

Celestial Harmonies - this weekend! 5th October at 7:30 pm

Last February, many of you will remember packing the Christian Community Church for a concert presented by Michael Hall alumni, Nick Korth and Gregers Brinch. It was amazing to see so many people eager to hear incredible music in Forest Row. On 5th October, we are presenting another event featuring fantastic musicians not only singing and playing their instruments but in one piece singing and playing simultaneously! The concert also sees the introduction of a new instrument, the remarkable Harmonic Steel Spiral. Details are on the poster in the classified section below; do book early.

New Brass Teacher - Richard Cross

We are delighted to announce that Richard Cross has joined our vibrant Visiting Music Teacher team to deliver Brass lessons at Michael Hall. Richard comes with extensive teaching experience of all the brass instruments and a hugely busy career as a trombonist, conductor and arranger. We need brass players at Michael Hall, so if you would like to sign up your young person (Class 4 and above) for lessons on Trumpet, Trombone, Euphonium or French Horn contact Rachel Masters or Julian Rolton. All application forms can be found on https://www.michaelhall.co.uk/parents/music

Garden News

{item_alt_tag}

The journey of the tomatoes in the walled garden began in February. They were sowed and raised with love and care, they grew well, they were harvested and packed and sold to the community. Now they have finished their task and have succumbed to the colder weather.  Seeds have been saved, and new life will sprout next year.

Biodynamic tomato seedlings and fruit will be available through our WhatsApp group, join it to become a part of the tomatoes journey.
