Class 12 are hard at work rehearsing their play The Crucible by Arthur Miller. During half term they will be in the theatre working - something every class 12 has done since the mid 1980's - and possibly further back than that! They will build the set, help with costumes, and most importantly rehearse, experiencing what it is like to work as a theatre ensemble.
The Crucible is Arthur Miller's classic dramatization of the witch-hunt trials that besieged the community of Salem in 1692. In this small, tight-knit Puritan village, gossip and rumour spread like wildfire, inflaming personal grievances until no one is safe from accusation and vengeance.. and violence. In the face of such fervour how can John Proctor, a local farmer, hope to protect his family and his dignity?
We hope you can join us for the performances on Wednesday 26th, Thursday 27th, Friday 28th February and Saturday 1st March at 7pm, Michael Hall Theatre.
