As you may already be aware, the Department for Education has announced changes to relationships and sex education following nationwide consultation. These changes came into effect from September 2020 and all schools will be required to comply with the updated requirements. The statutory guidance can be found at:
PSHE has always been something that we do very well in Steiner Education as it underpins the entire rationale of our education. This new statutory guidance is something we have not only easily been able to accommodate but we have also been able to enhance it with our Steiner Waldorf philosophy and delivery.
As part of this process, the school is required to ask parents to engage in a consultation process to enable us to agree an appropriate policy and make adjustments to our curriculum based on this feedback.
