Class 3 Building Project

On Tuesday, Class 3 were visited by professional bricklayer, Dan Ritchie - an old scholar - and his team who taught us how bricks are made and laid.

Together we all got our hands dirty with cement and took part in the actual bricklaying for a circular seating wall to mark the school's upcoming Centenary. The children took to bricklaying like cement to a wall.

The plan is to have a flower bed in the middle as well as a way sign pointing to different Waldorf schools around the world.

This was a real community effort: a special thanks to Dan, who gifted his help to the school, and to two Class 3 parents who made the project possible through their generous donations that paid for all the raw materials.
