The Midsummer Pageant with classes 1 to 5 was a joyful celebration of summer. The classes paraded on to the Valley Field, led by the musicians, and Mr Caffrey introduced the Pageant this year. Class 2 gave us some scenes from their play of the King of Ireland’s Son. We had lively songs from class 3 about Joseph and his multicoloured coat. Classes 4 did the walls of Asgard formation with decorated shields and a folk stick dance. Classes 5 showed us circus skills and scenes from a Greek play. It was a gloriously sunny day and a vibrant event with a very appreciative audience.
