On June 25th, Class 1a shared some of their work with their parents, siblings, and parallel class. They were proud to present a story they first heard while preparing to plant the first ring of trees in our school Children’s Forest.

There was a time, long ago, when the people came to know the wisdom of trees by listening to their leaves whispering in the breeze… Then busy and noisy the people became, building more towns and putting trees to rest… Until the children heard the trees begging “Save the trees by planting our seeds”…. Then the children knew what to do and gathered tree seeds all the year through and from that day on, all listened to the trees’ song.
