The new friendly kitchen team are dedicated to providing school pupils and staff with wholesome and nutritious warm lunches, freshly prepared every day. We wish to provide a calm and welcoming space where pupils and staff can feel supported and be nourished. This is a very important provision that helps support our teaching colleagues in the work they do with pupils, through the curriculum in all age groups of the school.  

The menu will be vegetarian using local and seasonal organic/biodynamic produce. By working with the school gardener, we hope to reap the benefits of the fantastic school garden where possible, with the seasonal produce helping us to reconnect with the cycles of the year.

Through our work we hope to promote healthy eating, providing varied and balanced nutritional offerings. We can also accommodate those with any special medical dietary needs. We will monitor how the children respond to our menu and are open to suggestions, adapting and engaging with students and staff to produce the best outcomes. The kitchen team are also here to support classes in their lessons that may have a food related theme. We wish to grow and nurture a strong kitchen team and make the best use of the resources that we have available to us here at Michael Hall.
