Class 8DJ went to Hampton Court Palace on Tuesday. They went around the Tudor section of the palace and took part in a workshop based on Elizabeth I, in which they had to debate about whom should succeed the throne. The class also had the opportunity to talk with period-dressed staff and talk about other aspects of palace life. In this photo, the class is speaking with a sugar cook, looking at cups, plates, chess pieces and other edible sugar decorations that would have been made and eaten for high feasts during the Tudor period.
