Class 12 play

The Crucible by Arthur Miller performed by Class 12.

The Class 12 play is a cherished tradition at Michael Hall, marking a significant milestone in the students’ journey. It is a testament to their dedication, creativity, and courage—not just as performers but as a community working together to tell a powerful story.

A huge thank you to the incredible cast and crew, as well as the teachers, parents, and friends who supported this production.

Here is some feedback from the audience:

"The play was truly chilling after the last days and weeks. The hysteria, misinformation, misogyny and scapegoating felt all too resonant. And just delivered really simply and directly with no fancy flourishes, out of the mouths of those who will have to pick up the pieces after the current batch of patriarchs. The goading interrogation in Act 4 of Proctor by Danforth and Hathorne was especially reflective of the last two days. What happens when you speak truth to power and it’s already decided what it wants to hear."

"Congratulations on a true masterpiece of a Class 12 play. We were all left completely gobsmacked! "

"I saw it last night and was blown away, it was beautiful and powerful "

"It was a spectacular production! I still can’t believe how they brought it together in such a short space of time.."

"I was captivated throughout the whole play; it was clear some really clever direction had gone into it and the cast put so much energy and emotion into their performance. It honestly felt like a whole experience, I laughed, cried and felt quite spooked throughout the night!"
