Class 8a went on a journey into the battle between the Light and the Dark with their play, based very loosely on the wonderful book series "The Dark is Rising" by Susan Cooper.

This battle took place in multiple dimensions, and tests all the characters where they are most vulnerable. Ultimately, redemption is achieved, leaving human beings with the task of continuing the struggle in their own hearts.

The children were all able to achieve inspiring new steps in their confidence and it was truly lovely to see them take ownership of this complex and challenging production.

The amazing support of parents is deeply appreciated, and we are most grateful for the generous donations at the door in support of our class trip in June.

My thanks for all the messages of praise for the class, they created something unique.
