The Boy With A Moon On His Forehead And A Star On His Chin
You are warmly invited to this year's Class 12 and 3's eurythmy play, which explores the archetypal journey of love and virtue triumphing over wealth and status. This performance is inspired by the Bengali tale, "The Boy Who Had a Moon on His Forehead and a Star on His Chin."
In this tale, a young boy is taken from his mother and faces a series of extraordinary events, including being hidden and swallowed by various animals, ultimately leading to his escape from a king's palace with the help of a loyal horse named Katar. After years of living in disguise as a servant, the boy captures the attention of a princess, who chooses to marry him despite societal pressures. When he reveals his true identity as a prince, he gains respect and exposes the deceit of his brothers-in-law.
