Celebrating A-level and GCSE Results at Michael Hall

Emmeline Hawker - Acting Principal

This week our Class 10 and 12 students received their GCSE and A-level results with the GCSE results being collected just yesterday.

It has been a very difficult couple of years for these students who have had their entire two-year courses It has been a very difficult couple of years for these students who have had their entire two year courses punctuated by school closures and distance learning whilst entire households and ways of life have been disrupted by Covid.

Here at Michael Hall, teachers have worked extremely hard to ensure that our students were able to demonstrate the best of their abilities during this challenging few years. Not only did this consist of converting many of their planned lessons into distance learning but also by providing lots of extra tests and exams and carefully collating, scanning and auditing students’ work so that we were able to submit a strong collection of evidence to the exam boards when it was requested for a number of subjects. All this, of course, was in addition to their usual love, support and dedication for our students.

It would all have been futile, however, had it not been for the hard work, commitment, dedication and adaptability of our extraordinary students who all stepped up and gave it their best despite a constantly changing and uncertain landscape. As a result they have achieved outstanding results this year which you can see for yourself on our website today.

A hearty and well earned congratulations to our fabulous Class 10s and 12s. Well done Class 10 & 12, I wish you all the best in your next adventures
